Re: Manville Personal Injury Settlement Trust Newsletter of October 9, 1998
On page 3 of the October 9, 1998 Manville Personal Injury Settlement Trust Newsletter is an article entitled "Unacceptable PFT Lab Reports." The article states that the Trust will not accept Pulmonary Function Test ("PFT") results from certain facilities for the purpose of assigning a Scheduled Value disease category to a claim. The following PFT facilities were listed: Pulmonary Function Lab operating out of Madison, MS; Brandon, MS; Gautier, MS; Jackson, MS; Bessemer, AL; and in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
An editing error resulted in our failing to add the following information to the Newsletter: With respect to the facilities listed in bold in the preceding paragraph of this memorandum, the Trust will not accept PFT results from the facility where the PFT test was performed on or before December 2, 1996. The Trust will accept PFT results performed at these facilities after December 2, 1996 provided the tests meet the PFT Guidelines described in the Trust’s October 28, 1996 Newsletter and the Trust’s March 14, 1997 Newsletter.
